Go outside, but I can't

It is really nice out today. It about 75 degrees out. It is the type of weather that makes me want to go and do something outside. I want go for a walk, bike ride, or a run. This is college though and despite it being nice, I may not do any of those things I want to. I am too tied up with school work to enjoy the weather.

I should have taken the chance to enjoy it a few weeks ago when I did have free time, rather than just sit around watching television. My college work controls me, this week I have had to spend all my free time working on projects, lab reports, and home work assignments for various classes.

The free time one has should be taken as something extremely valuable because you do not know when you are going to have some more free time. Go enjoy the beautiful weather and do something outside. The weather is soon going to change to colder temperatures. This means you won’t want to go out and play, so please do it now while you have no school work to do and the weather is still nice. I plan on getting everything done for this weekend by about 5pm, so I have the rest of the weekend free. One of the major reasons I get to enjoy this weekend is also because one of my teachers pushed back the due date of a paper.

I think I am going to go for a run Friday and then on Saturday go for a long bike ride. On Sunday I might go out and do an activity called Geocaching. Geocaching is an activity where you get coordinates of something on the internet and you put those coordinates in a GPS device. Then you get to go on a hike to the location to find a log to sign your name in at saying you found it.

Hope everyone enjoys one of there last warm weekends of the year.

I completely know how you feel. When you are overloaded with homework there is absolutely no time to enjoy the weather. But on the rare occasion that you have enough free time to go outside and do something, you are too tired from all the work you have been doing earlier in the week. It's a viscious cycle. I think the best way to solve that problem is to set aside a time each week to go out and do something, and that will motivate you to actually do it rather than making the decision spur of the moment.
